Potterhouse School is another international co-educational school in Kenya that was established in the year 2002 and propelled by a strong Christian ethos. The school is located in Runda and is a day and boarding institution that today attracts pupils from different nationalities and backgrounds providing a rich diversity of culture and experience from kindergarten to high school. Potterhouse School utilizes a British National Curriculum even though students can study two other languages besides English. The additional languages include French and Kiswahili. In year 9, students undertake a pre-IGCSE year of study, and in Years 10 and 11, they follow a two-year course leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations and thereafter go for the Advanced Level General Certificate of Education (A-levels). The school is independently inspected and is not affiliated with the IAPS yet.
